Hearing aids are an inevitable part of the life of a person with a hearing problem. The severity and nature of the problems might be different but the concerns that often plague people with a hearing problem are the same. What hearing problem one has is what determines what hearing aids they use.

Now whether the hearing aids are analog or digital they work on a battery operated mechanism and require regular care for the Hearing aids batteries. Like we mentioned earlier there are different kinds of hearing aids for different kinds of problems the same applies to Hearing aids batteries as well, the kind of hearing aids battery a CIC may need are not the kind of batteries that will suit the ITE variety of hearing aids, depending on what kind of hearing aid, the right batteries have to be chosen.

The body worn hearing aids use an ordinary pencil type cell whereas; all the other types of aids use the Button Cell batteries. Very rarely will any device use the re-chargeable or long life disposable battery this is owing to the nature of the hearing aids itself. There is also a variation in the size of the hearing aids batteries depending on what kind of hearing aids they are used in.

The CIC for example needs a size 5 or 10 battery whereas the Canal would make do with a size 10 or 312 and the Mini-Canal needs a size 10. Depending on the nature and function of the hearing aids the batteries must also be chosen carefully. It is advised to consult the hearing aids expert when you need a battery replacement.
